Masego Maponyane who is most commonly referred to as ‘Maps’ obtained his Bachelor degree in Media Studies, French and English and International Human Rights (Majors) at the University of the Witwatersrand. His vast education has allowed him to pursue a career that spans across TV presenting, acting, production as well as other business related ventures. As an entrepreneur Maps has a passion for start-up SME’s. This passion alongside his love for education has led to the development of Bursary Network. His enthusiasm to give back to the community and desire to change the lives of those around him inspired Maps to volunteer at the Ethembeni Children’s Home – which he has been doing so for over 11 years. As a result of this activism he is now a member of the Home’s board. Maps also serves as a board member at WWF SA and has recently become a UNICEF advocate. Maps’ selfless attitude and willingness to enable others through education makes him a role model and an apt choice as a Legacy Maker.
