the legacy stories

Marais Erasmus

Erasmus is a former first-class South African cricketer who currently serves as an international cricket umpire. He is a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires and stands in matches of all three formats of international cricket. His admirable cricketing career and calm demeanour has earned him popularity among contemporary cricketers. This admiration was further proved in 2016 when he became the first South African to be honoured with the David Shepard Trophy for the ICC Umpire of the Year. His involvement and legacy in the sport have stood him in good stride as an exemplary member of the international cricketing community. His dedication to the sport made us hopeful that he would be as dedicated to cricket as he would be to the next generation of Legacy Makers.
